1) Open Programs Faster:

If you are like most people, you open programs and files by clicking on them. This is one of the worst ways to open something because you have to click twice for each file.
Instead, press the Windows key + R, type in the program’s name that you want to open, and hit enter. It should open up almost instantly.

2) Cut & Paste Files Easily:

The easiest way to cut and paste files is to use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+C. To copy a file, hold down the control key and press C. Then, to paste a file, release the control key and press V.

3) Use Your Mouse More Efficiently:

You can also use the mouse to move around your screen quickly. To move left, right, top, or bottom, hold down the left, right, up, or down arrow keys on your keyboard.

4) Get Help Quicker:

If you’re looking for help with a problem, there are two ways to get it. Type in “Help” into the box and press Enter. The results should come up immediately. Type in “Windows 7” in the search bar. When you see the results, select “Search Results” from the
dropdown menu.

5) Save Time Saving Documents:

There are many different ways to save a document. One of the best ways is to press Control + S while typing in what you want to save.

6) Increase Speed With Keyboard Shortcuts:

You can increase speed by pressing the Windows key + Tab. This will cycle through all of your open windows.

7) Find Anything Instantly:

Another great feature of Windows 8 is the ability to search for anything. Type in whatever you want to search for in the search bar.

8) Start Apps Instantly:

You can start an app without having to go through the process of opening it first. Just press the Windows key + X.

9) Launch Games Instantly:

Press the Windows key + Y to launch any game installed on your system.

10) Search Everything Instantly:

Type in “Windows 7” in the search bar and press Enter. All of the information about Windows 7 will be displayed.

11) Switch Between Applications:

Hold down the Windows key and press the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7. Each number represents a window.

12) Add New Items to Your Desktop:

Just drag items from anywhere onto your desktop. You don’t even need to double-click on them.

13) Change Backgrounds Easily:

Click on the Windows logo in the lower left-hand corner of your screen. Click on “Change background.” From here, you can choose between several different backgrounds.

14) Create Folders Easily:

Use the Windows key + D to create folders.

15) Delete Everything Instantly:

Press the delete button on your keyboard.
