How to Become an Uber Driver

Do you want to become an uber driver? If yes, then read this article!

Uber has been around since 2009, but only recently did it start taking off. It’s now the world’s largest taxi service. And if you think that’s impressive, wait until you hear about their latest venture…This article will teach you how to become an uber driver.

Step 1: Choose a city and sign up for uberX

The first step is choosing where you want to drive. To do so, go to uber.com/cities. You can choose from over 600 cities in 40 countries.

You’ll see a map of all the cities available. Click on one to nd out more information like accepting new drivers, average earnings, etc.

Once you’ve chosen your city, click “Sign Up” at the top right corner of the screen.

Step 2: Signing up with uber.

On the next page, fill out your personal information. This includes your name, email address, phone number, physical address, age, gender, occupation, and language preferences.

Next, upload a photo of yourself. It doesn’t have to be professional; make sure it’s clear enough to identify you as the person who signed up.

Finally, select which car you’d prefer to drive. The options are Sedan, SUV, or Van.

If you don’t know what those mean, here’s a quick rundown:

Sedans are similar to taxis. They usually seat four people and have room for luggage.

SUVs are more prominent than sedans. They typically seat five people and have room for lots of luggage.

Vans are bigger than SUVs. They usually seat six people and have room for even more luggage.

After filling out these forms, click Continue.

Step 3: Getting approved by uber

Now comes the fun part–getting approved by uber.

To get approved, you need to pass a background check.

To do so, you must provide a copy of your passport, proof of residency, and insurance.

You also need to complete a criminal record search.

When you finish all of these steps, you’ll receive a text message letting you know whether you were approved or not.

If you are approved, you’ll receive another text message giving you directions to your car.

Step 4: Driving for uber

Once you arrive at your designated location, you’ll need to download the uber app.

It’s free and easy to use. Just open the app and follow the instructions.

When you’re ready to start driving, tap on the green button that says “Start My Ride.”

A window will pop up asking you to enter your pickup and dropoff locations.

Enter them, and then tap Next.

You’ll be asked to verify your license plate number.

Enter it, and then tap Next again.

Your vehicle will appear in the list of cars available to pick up passengers.

Tap the car you want to drive, and then tap OK.

Step 5: Pickup requests

As soon as someone taps on your car, you’ll be notified via text and shown the passenger’s request details.

If the passenger wants to pay using cash, you’ll be given a tip based on the estimated distance between your current location and the requested destination.

If the passenger pays through the app, you’ll be able to track the amount paid while you’re driving.

Step 6: Dropoffs

When you reach your destination, you can either accept or decline the ride.

If you decline, you’ll be charged $1.25 per mile plus any tips you received during the trip.

If you accept, you’ll be compensated for the time spent waiting for the rider and the actual time spent driving.

Step 7: Payment and tips

When the passenger drops you off at your final stop, you’ll be notified that they are paying through the app.

Then you’ll receive a notification directing you to the payment screen.

Here, you’ll see how much money was paid, along with any tips you earned during the trip.

The total cost of each trip depends on where you picked up and dropped off.

For example, if you drove from San Francisco to Los Angeles, the average price would be $45.That means you could earn around $2.50 per hour after expenses.

In addition to earning money, you’ll also learn valuable lessons like how to handle demanding riders.

And no doubt, being an uber driver will help you build a network of contacts throughout the city.

So why not give it a shot?

All you need is a valid California driver’s license and access to a car.
